International grain markets steadied overnight as traders absorb Monday’s USDA reports.
US wheat prices were flat with concerns over dry weather forecast for the US Plains offset by the USDA report which kept plantings like last year (market had been anticipating a 2% fall).
WA barley port prices closing in on APW values as traders start to extend positions in anticipation of some increased export demand. The European feed barley bin is almost empty and once Argentine supplies clear, Australian exporters may get a clear run at export demand.
