Much the same from international grain markets, under pressure from favourable weather conditions and concerns over export demand as US/China trade tensions linger.
The local market continues to be in limbo. Northern growers are not in a hurry to sell, and the market lacks any spark to sustain short covering rally’s which seem to get covered quickly. In the south, the season remains uncertain, and this has contributed to little interest in engaging in sales with remaining stocks viewed as a drought hedge and not enough pricing or production confidence to generate any new crop interest.
